Simple & Delicious Boursin Tomato Sourdough Pasta
This Boursin Tomato Sourdough Pasta dish is my take on the viral baked feta past that everyone was making! My version is burting with flavor, easy to make and will have anyone who eats it in complete pasta heaven!!!

We absolutely love doing a roasted tomato sauce for pasta and this is such a fun and delicious way to spice it up! I love this Boursin Tomato Sourdough Pasta because it is as simple as throwing tomatoes, garlic, spices, boursin cheese and balsamic vinegar into a pan and roasting it. Simply blend everything together with fresh basil and serve over sourdough pasta.
If you are unfamiliar with Boursin cheese, it is a soft, spreadable cheese full of fresh herbs. It melts into creamy heaven! They make a ton of different flavors but for this pasta, I recommend using the garlic herb Boursin cheese.
This pasta is creamy, rich and incredibly flavorful. You can make it with homemade sourdough pasta (our favorite) or any type of pasta you like! It is absolutely delicious as leftovers and is sure to be a crowd pleaser with the whole family.

Tips for MAking Boursin Tomato Sourdough Pasta
- Use roma tomatoes or cherry tomatoes for the best flavor. This will yield a nice vibrant and slightly sweet sauce.
- Tuck the garlic cloves under the tomatoes in the baking dish. If the garlic is sitting on top it can tend to burn. Keeping the garlic cloves tucked underneath ensures the stay oily and get nicely roasted.
- Use a good quality balsamic vinegar. The flavor you get from a rich blasamic vinegar is unatched. It will caramelize in the oven and produce the most beautiful depth of flavour.
Boursin Tomato Sourdough Pasta Ingredients
Sourdough Pasta– Of course you can make this recipe with any type of pasta you like. If you want to try it with sourdough pasta, you can find my recipe here https://cmbarndominium.com/the-best-sourdough-pasta/
Boursin Cheese– You can find this at most grocery stores. You want to make sure to gether the garlic herb flavor.
Tomatoes– I recommend using roma tomatoes or even cherry tomatoes for this recipe. Cherry tomatoes will yield a slightly sweeter sauce.
Onion– Red or yellow onion work for this recipe. Use whichever you prefer.
Garlic– There is a whole head of garlic in this recipe. It gets roasted so develops a mild but delicious flavor.
Balsamic Vinegar– As mentioned above, try to find good quality balsamic vinegar. We get ours from a small local store that pours it fresh for us.
Basil– Fresh basil is added to the sauce for a bright and fresh flavor.
Olive oil– You can use avocado oil if you want, but I love the additional flavor that olive oil brings.
Oregano– Fresh or dried oregano will work in this recipe.

The Steps
1.Start by preheating your oven to 400F.
2. Next, place the wheel of Boursin cheese in the middle of a casserole dish. Lay the tomatoes, onion and garlic cloves all around the cheese. Drizzle the olive oil and basamic vinegar all over the vegetables, then sprinkle with the oregano and some salt and pepper.
3. Place the casserole dish in the midle of the oven and bake for about 30 minutes or until everything is nicely roasted and the Boursin is melted and lightly golden on top.
4. While the tomatoes are roasting, boil your pasta until aldente, then strain and set aside. Once the vegetables and Boursin are done cooking, remove from the oven and add in the fresh basil.
5. Using a hand held blender, blend everything together until it forms a smooth, creamy sauce. If you do not have a hand blender, simply add everything to a blender and blend unil smooth. Taste the sauce, then add any additional salt or pepper until it is to your liking.
6. Toss the warm pasta in the tomato sauce then serve immediately. Garnish with fresh basil and serve as is or topped with grilled chicken. Enjoy!
