Tips for Making Perfect Venison Steak Caesar Wraps

  1. Pick a cut of steak that is tender. You want meat that you can easily bit through when you bit into the wrap. If you are using a less tender cut, I recommend tenderizing it with a meat mallet. We do this will thin steaks we cut from rounds and it is game changing.
  2. When making the dressing, it may start to separate or look almost curdled as it sits. If this happens to you, simply blend it up for another 30 seconds before you use it and it will go silky smooth.
  3. You always want to leave tossing the caesar salad together to the very last minute before serving. This will prevent the lettuce from getting soggy and keep that nice crisp bite in your wraps.

Venison Steak Caesar Wrap Ingredients

Venison Steak- Almost any kind of steak you like works in these. If you pick a less tender cut, just sliced it nice and thin so it’s easier to bite through.

Bacon– Adding some crispy cooked bacon pieces adds some extra goodness. Use any bacon you like.

Romaine Lettuce– You want romaine to give you a nice crispy lettuce.

Olive Oil– This is the base of the dressing you can substitute with avocado oil if you prefer.

Egg Yolk– One egg yolk helps give you a beautifully thick and creamy like dressing.

Parmesan Cheese– Always use fresh grated parmesan if you can.

Lemon Juice– Fresh squeezed is ideal.

Dijon Mustard- There is just a touch in the dressing.

Apple Cider Vinegar– This gives the dressing a bit of tanginess.

Worcestershire Sauce– A dash of this is all you need.

Notes

* If you are GLUTEN FREE simple use gluten free bread crumbs and you can enjoy this as a salad or use a gluten free tortilla.

* If your dressing seems too thick after it is blended, add in more lemon juice until it is your desired consistency.

*You can use any kind of tortillas you like, Store bought, homemade without sourdough or the sourdough tortillas.

* If you want the bread crumbs to full coat the onions and not be loose, then sprinkle a bit of flour over the onions before you add the milk and egg! This will help the breadcrumbs coat the onions more. I like the bread crumbs looser so they can gets all throughout the caesar salad.
