You can find all kinds of immunity shots at different grocery stores. They all seem to vary slightly in ingredients, but one thing is for sure, they are all so expensive!! If you want to get all the benefits from them without spending a ton of money, you need to make them at home.

These immunity shots can be made in 20 minutes and stored in the fridge to take one every day. In these shots you will find things like fresh ginger, turmeric, cayenne, lemon and orange. All amazing for your health, full of vitamins and anti inflammatory.

While these shots are mainly for immunity they can also support gut health so are great to take on a daily basis. We like to take them first thing on an empty stomach but later on in the day is fine too. You can pre portion them into little shot containers OR to keep it simple like we do, just store them in a large jar in your refrigerator!

Tips for Making Homemade Immunity Shots

  1. If you can use organic ingredients for these. Because you are taking them as a health supplement, using organic ingredients will ensure you are not getting extra junk in your shots that you don’t want.
  2. Use a good blender. To keep it simple these are just made with a blender and not a juicer. However, that means you want a good blender that will be able to chew through all the ingredients.
  3. Make sure to strain the shots before storing them. There will be some little chunk bits floating throughout (the pulp), and straining those out will make these shots much more enjoyable and smooth to drink.

Immunity Shot Ingredients

Lemon– Full of vitamin c for immune health and also great for gut health.

Orange– Any large orange is fine. It will add sweetness and tons of vitamin c.

Ginger- You want fresh ginger, and you don’t have to peel it.

Cayenne– Powdered cayenne is good. This does add spice, but is very anti-inflammatory, great for digestion and congestion. If you are worried about the kick, you can reduce the amount slightly.

Turmeric– Fresh or powdered works. Full of antioxidants and a great anti- inflammatory for over all health and pain.

Black Pepper– This may seem weird, but black pepper is essential in helping with the absorption on turmeric. Don’t skip this.

Maple Syrup– This is added for a bit of sweetness to counteract the heat but is also rich in minerals and antioxidants!

Apple Cider Vinegar- I like to add this to kick start your gut and support healthy digestion.
