4 Ingredient Healthy Mango Ice Cream

This 4 Ingredient Healthy Mango Ice Cream is the perfect mid Summer treat that everyone will enjoy! It only takes a couple minutes to make and there is no fancy equipment needed.

We all love a good bowl of ice cream, but store bought tends to be full of unnecessary ingredients and tons of added sugar. That is why I love this healthy mango ice cream so much! It is made using only 4 ingredients that are actually nourishing.

Mango, cream, vanilla and maple syrup are all you need to have a delicious bowl of mango ice cream at home. You simply blend everything together, then freeze it for a couple hours and it is ready to enjoy. It works with fresh or frozen mango and tastes heavenly.

Store this ice cream in an air tight container for up to a month in your freezer. Enjoy it as is, or my favorite is to top it with toasted coconut and pecans!

Tips For Making PErfect HEalthy MAngo Ice Cream

  1. Opt for fresh mangos if you can. This recipe can be made with fresh or frozen mangos, but fresh always give a more vibrant, sweet flavor.
  2. Make sure to blend it until it is completely smooth with no chunks. Scraped down the sides of the blender as you blend everything together, making sure that everything gets fully blended until smooth and creamy.
  3. Freee the ice cream for at least 4-5 hours to allow everthing to fully set. I recommend using a shallow dish if possible, as it will allow the ice cream to fully freeze quicker.
  4. Let the ice cream sit at room temperature for 5 minutes or so before scooping. This will allow it to soften slightly and give you a creamier texture.

Healthy Mango Ice Cream Ingredients

Mango– You can use fresh or frozen mango but I always recommend using fresh is you can for the best flavor.

Cream– Use heavy cream in this recipe for the best texture. You can sub with coconut cream if you want dairy free.

Maple Syrup– There is just a touch of maple syrup in this ice cream to bring a bit of sweetness. You can add more if you like.

Vanilla– A dash of Vanilla extract helps enhance all the flavors.

The Steps

1.To a blender add all of the ingrdients and blend on high until smooth and creamy.

2. Pour the mixture into a shallow glass or ceramic dish and place in the freezer for 4-5 hours or until set.

3. Once the ice cream is set, allow it to sit at room temperature for about 5 minutes before scooping and serving.

Notes

*You can use fresh or frozen mango for this recipe, but you will get a better flavor if you use fresh.

*Be sure to use a shallow dish opposed to a bowl to freeze this ice cream in. This allows it to freeze more evenly and in the same time frame all throughout.
