Tips For MAking Sourdough Naan Breakfast Pizzas
- Use a nice soft and chewy homemade sourdough naan bread for the crust. This will add flavor to the pizza and allow it to get nice a crisp edges. Find my recipe here https://cmbarndominium.com/the-best-sourdough-naan-bread/
- Always cook the pizzas at a nice hot temperature (425F-475F) in the oven or on a grill or smoker. Keeping the temperature nice and hot will give you that nice crispy edge, and allow everything to get melty and delicious fairly quick.
- When cooking the pizzas, you want a runny yolk in your egg, wait until the end to add a fried egg on top. If you are good with a slightly more solid yolk, you can crack the raw egg onto the pizza (as shown in the pictures).
Sourdough Naan Pizzas Ingredients
Sourdough Naan– You can use any recipe you like, but here is my favorite recipe! https://cmbarndominium.com/the-best-sourdough-naan-bread/
Pesto– This can be store bought or homemade. I always recommend homemade because you just can’t beat the flavor.
Cheese– While almost any cheese will work, I like to use a cheddar cheese and/or mozarella for these pizzas.
Bacon– Again, you can use storebought or homemade of this too. I use my homemade maply chili bacon recipe and it adds incredible flavor. Find it here https://cmbarndominium.com/how-to-make-homemade-bacon-maple-chili-flavor/
Tomatoes– This is optional if you do not care for tomatoes. I love the fresh, juicy and sweet flavor they add.
Green Onion– Use green onions over red or white for a more mild flavor on the pizzas.
Eggs– As mentioned above, you can add this before cooking or fry an egg and add it on top if you want a nice runny yolk.
Chili Flakes– This is optional, but adds a nice little kick!

The Steps
1.Start by preheating your grill/oven/smoker to 450F-475F.
2. Next, spoon a layer of pesto on top of a cooked naan bread.
3. Then sprinkle on the cheese, some chopped bacon, sliced tomatoes and green onion, leaving a little less toppings in the center so there is room for an egg.
4. Finally, crack an egg right into the center of the pizza. Season with some salt and pepper and some additional chili flakes if you like! Repeat this with however many pizzas you want to make, then place them in the oven/grill/smoker.
5. Cook for 15 minutes or so, until the egg white is fully cooked through. If you want a nice runny yolk, I suggest frying an egg separately and adding it on top of the pizza right after it finishes cooking.
6. Remove the pizzas from the heat, slice into quarters and serve immediatley. Enjoy!
